The yellow birds
sings in their tree and makes my heart dance with gladness.
一群黄鳥在樹上歌唱，使我歡欣鼓舞。
We both live in the same village， and that is our
one piece of joy.
我們兩人住在同一個村子裡，這是一件樂事。
Her pair of pet lambs come to graze in the
shade of our garden trees.
她心愛的一對小羊到我園子裡的樹蔭下吃草。
If they stray into my barley field， I take them up in
my arms.
如果牠們走進我的麥田裡，我就把牠們抱起來。
The name of our village is Khanjana， and Anjana they
call our river.
我們的村名叫康遮那，人們管我們的小河叫安遮那。
My name is known to all the village， and her name is
Ranjana.
我的名字村人都知道，她的名字是阮遮那。
Only one field lies between us.
我們中間只隔着一塊田地。
Bees that have hived in our grove go to seek
honey in theirs.
在我們果園裡築巢的蜜蜂，飛到他們果園中去採蜜。
Flowers launched from their landing-stairs
come floating by the stream where we bathe.
從他們渡頭流来的落花，飄到我們洗澡的溪流裡。
Baskets of dried kusum
flowers come from their fields to our market.
一籃一籃的红花乾從他們田裡送到我們的市集上。

The lane that winds to their house is fragrant
in the spring with mango flowers.
通到她家的那條曲巷，春天充满芒果花香。
When their linseed is ripe for harvest the
hemp is in bloom in our field.
他們的亞麻收成的時候，我們田裡的苧麻正在開花。

上天的愛不偏袒任何人，也不會漠視任何人。世人無須嫉恨爭奪。
雖然｢無敵國外患者，國恆亡。｣但與鄰為壑絕不是富強之道。
我相信良知良能永遠存在人類的基因裡，人類會繼續追求泰戈爾詩純真美好的境界。
